Long Island forward Julian Boyd had 18 points and 12 rebounds in a losing effort against North Carolina. He added three assists, two steals, and two three-pointers.
Boyd is just a sophomore, so we may not have heard the last of him. He averaged 13.0 points and 8.9 rebounds after missing the 2009-10 season with a heart condition.
