Greg Monroe tallied yet another double-double as he pulled down 10 rebounds and chipped in with 15 points to help Georgetown to a quarterfinal 91-84 win over Syracuse in the Big East Tournament.
Monroe also had seven assists as the Hoyas beat Syracuse for the firs time in three tries this season. Monroe will have a chance to dominate the smaller Marquette team in the Big East semifinals. The Hoya big had nine points and 10 rebounds in the teams' only meeting.
