Colorado State forward Pierce Hornung recorded his fifth double-double of the season in a losing effort against Murray State in the NCAA tournament. He had 12 points and tied his career-high with 17 rebounds.
The 6-foot-5 junior shot 6-for-7 from the field and added two steals. It was the third time in his career that he has pulled down 17 rebounds. He averaged 8.8 points and 8.7 rebounds this season. Wes Eikmeier scored 10 points on 4-for-12 shooting from the floor.
