Minnesota center Ralph Sampson III scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds in am 81-72 double overtime loss to Illinois. Sampson III also had three assists and two blocked shots, while converting all six free throw attempts.
Sampson III's previous season high in points was 15 points, so the fact that he scored 22 on Meyers Leonard is a good sign. It appears that he is over his injury and should be back to his normal production.
