Washington freshman forward Austin Seferian-Jenkins made his collegiate debut in Saturday's win over Stanford. He started and went scoreless but grabbed seven rebounds in 16 minutes.
It was a little shocking to see ASF in the starting lineup considering he hadn't played a minute all season. Of course he was a little busy on the gridiron earning Freshman All-American status as a tight end (41 catches for 538 yards and six touchdowns). His role on the hardcourt will be to set screens and get dirty in the paint. His emergence will push Desmond Simmons out to the perimeter more so expect his rebounding to decline a little.
