Kentucky freshman forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had 17 points and 12 rebounds as the Wildcats pulled away from the feisty Tennessee Volunteers. He went 8-for-12 from the line and had three steals.
Kidd-Gilchrist didn't take over this game as had in the past, but he broke a string of three straight single-digit scoring games. He may be both the team's glue guy and most valuable player.
