Iowa guard Roy Marble scored 17 points in a 79-76 loss to Purdue. This was the seventh straight game that the sophomore scored in double figures, after only doing so in two of the first seven games. Marble also dished out six assists on Wednesday.
Marble has been one of the surprise players in the Big Ten and has taken the starting point guard duties from Bryce Cartwright. Marble is averaging 11.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.9 assists through the first 14 games.
