Kansas State guard Rodney McGruder went 10-for-11 from the field on his way to a season-high 28 points. The Wildcats defeated Long Beach State for the Diamondhead Classic Championship.
McGruder has been a mild disappointment in his junior season. He was expected to be the scoring leader for the Wildcats, but has only hit 25% of his three-pointers. He was 2-for-3 against the 49ers. Maybe this will be the start of something big.
