Minnesota center Ralph Sampson III scored 15 points and pulled in six rebounds in a 63-59 win over North Dakota State. Sampson was 7-for-8 from the foul line, while also blocking four shots in the win.
Sampson III's role has greatly increased this season due to the loss of Trevor Mbakwe. He has never been one to take over games, but should have good scoring and rebounding numbers because of the Golden Gophers' lack of interior players.
