Northwestern forward John Shurna scored 32 points in an 87-72 win over Eastern Illinois on Sunday. Shurna made nine three-pointers and also converted on an alley-oop late in the game. Shurna also contributed with four rebounds and five assists. Another notable player in this game was Luka Mirkovic, who scored 18 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and had seven assists.
Shurna is the Big Ten's leading scorer, but is a very good rebounder and passer as well. He can score in a multitude of ways and is capable of a big scoring game on any night. Shurna is also on pace to break Northwestern's All-Time scoring record.
