Minnesota guard Julian Welch scored 16 points, pulled in four rebounds, and dished out six assists in a 55-40 win over USC. Welch played 34 minutes in the contest and has established himself as the starting point guard for Tubby Smith's team.
Welch has now scored in double figures in the last five games after a somewhat slow start to the season. He can also chip in with rebounds and assists, which are more available now that Trevor Mbakwe is out for the season.
