Arizona freshman guard Nick Johnson scored a career-high 19 points on 8-for-14 shooting in the win at New Mexico State. He added two three-pointers and two assists.
Johnson made his first career start in the game and wasn't phased by the road crowd. He showed the ability to knock down some jumpers and unleashed a coupe monster jams as well. He is averaging 11.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists. Fellow freshman guard Josiah Turner had the best game of his young career with 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals in 21 minutes off the bench.
