Northwestern forward John Shurna scored 25 points in a 76-60 win at Georgia Tech on Tuesday. Shurna's stat line also included eight rebounds, three steals, three blocks, and two assists. Shurna's scoring average is now up to 21.8 points and he has scored at least 15 points in every game so far.
At this rate, Shurna is on pace to become Northwestern's All-Time Scoring Leader and potentially surpass the 2,000-point mark for his career. The 6-0 Wildcats host Mississippi Valley State at home on Friday, followed by a huge matchup against seventh-ranked Baylor on Sunday. Another two wins could go a long way to getting the Wildcats into their first ever NCAA Tournament.
