North Carolina forward Harrison Barnes was seen leaving the Orleans Arena on crutches last night. Team sources indicated the crutches were only a precautionary measure. Barnes finished with 15 points of 6-for-16 shooting in the Tar Heels' first loss of the season.
Barnes will be reevaluated when the team returns to Chapel Hill, but the injury could affect him when UNC plays Wisconsin on Wednesday. Barnes played 30 minutes against the Runnin' Rebels and his scoring output was a season low. If Barnes were to miss time, it would open up minutes for freshmen James McAdoo and P.J. Hairston.
