Florida forward Erik Murphy sat out the Gators' game against Jacksonville because of a knee injury incurred in practice on Thursday. Tests on Saturday will reveal the extent of the injury.
The Florida frontcourt is already shallow and Murphy was giving the team some quality minutes. He was averaging 10.4 points and 4.0 rebounds. Coach Billy Donovan said he didn't think the injury was season-ending, but this will put even more onus on Patric Young who is wearing protective glasses after getting poked in the eye.
