Cincinnati forward Yancy Gates scored 17 points on 7-of-16 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds in the Bearcats' shocking 56-54 loss to Presbyterian. Guard Sean Kilpatrick scored 19 and shot 4-of-6 from the three-point line.
A loss to the Blue Hose is not good for one's NCAA Tournament hopes. As for Gates, he is averaging close to a double-double, but he has struggled a bit so far shooting 39% from the floor and 43% from the free throw line. The rebounds are still there, and he has been a steady performer throughout his career, so I wouldn't be that concerned yet.
