South Florida forward Victor Rudd scored 30 points while shooting 11-for-21 from the field in a win over Marist Monday night. Center Augustus Gilchrist chipped in 11 points and 12 rebounds.
It is encouraging for Gilchrist owners to see him post a double-double carrying over his strong play at the end of last year. The 6-foot-8 Rudd is a transfer from Arizona State. We will get a better idea if Rudd can keep up this kind of scoring against stiffer competition like Old Dominion and Kentucky.
