Notre Dame recruit Eric Katenda , ESPNU's No. 27-ranked power forward in the 2011 class, has suffered a freak eye injury during a pickup game in early July. He has no vision in his left eye and it is unlikely he will ever play for the Irish.
Katenda was expected to contribute right away to help replace Tyrone Nash and Carleton Scott. Best of luck to him in the future.
