Wisconsin senior guard Jordan Taylor will have a minor ankle surgery next week, and has thus withdrawn himself from potentially being on Team USA in the World University Games next month. He decided that although he wanted to play for Team USA, being healthy for the collegiate season was more important to him.

Three other Big Ten players are trying out for Team USA. Minnesota's Trevor Mbakwe, Michigan State's Draymond Green, and Northwestern's John Shurna are also in contention for the team. The tryouts for the team are in Colorado Springs, while the tournament is in China next month.
