Villanova sophomore guard James Bell scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the United States to an 83-54 victory over Canada on Monday, the opening day of the second round of the FIBA Under-19 World Championships.

Bell averaged 2.4 points and 1.3 rebounds in his first year. He should be in line for more playing time this year after the graduation of Corey Fisher and Corey Stokes.
