Georgetown's season came to an end with a thud as they fell to VCU 74-56 on Friday night. The return of point guard Chris Wright meant little for a team that ends the season having not won a game in nearly a month. Hollis Thompson led the Hoyas with 26 points and seven rebounds off the bench and Austin Freeman scored 10. But Freeman and Wright combined to shoot 6-for-27 from the field, dooming the Hoyas against a team that shot 12-for-25 from three.

Georgetown will be led by Thompson and Jason Clark next season, and Thompson's play is likely the lone positive to come out of Friday's beating.
