Forward Yancy Gates has played well for Cincinnati over the last month of the season and that continued in the Bearcats' 78-63 win over Missouri on Thursday night. Gates scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the win and three other Bearcats joined him in double figures. Dion Dixon scored 16 and grabbed six rebounds, Cashmere Wright scored 11 and dished out seven assists, and Sean Kilpatrick scored 10 off the bench.
Cincinnati takes on Connecticut on Saturday in their second meeting of the season. UConn won the first 67-59 on February 27th behind 17 points from Jeremy Lamb. Gates scored 14 and grabbed eight rebounds in the loss.
