St. John's swingman D.J. Kennedy tore his ACL in the Red Storm's loss to Syracuse and will miss the rest of the season.
Kennedy is a senior who has not played in the NCAA tournament and the Johnnies seem like a lock to make their first Big Dance since 2002. The 6-foot-5 guard/forward sublimated his offensive game to allow Dwight Hardy to become the go-to scorer. Kennedy averaged 10.3 points, a team-high 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.8 steals. The team does not have a lot of depth, but Justin Burrell (if he can stay out of foul touble) and Malik Stith could see more minutes.
