Tulsa freshman guard Jordan Clarkson scored a career-high 21 points to lead the Golden Hurricane past Rice in the quarterfinals of the Conference USA tournament. He was 7-for-10 from the field and 6-for-7 from the line.

Clarkson opened the season as a freshman starter, but sprained his ankle in mid-December. Upon returning from his injury in 2011, the 6-foot-4 guard came off the bench. He is averaging 11.5 points and has scored in double digits in his last six games.
