The struggles continued for Villanova on Tuesday night as they lost to USF 70-69 in the first round of the Big East Championship. Maalik Wayns led the Wildcats with 24 points and Corey Stokes added 16. Corey Fisher finished with 15 points but Villanova also saw Mouphtaou Yarou leave the game in the first half due to injury.
Villanova's lost seven of their last nine games and have been a trendy pick to get bounced in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The status of Yarou will play an important role in their rotation, meaning that the backcourt will have even more pressure to responsibility to shoulder.
