USF guard Shaun Noriega knocked down six of his 12 shots from beyond the arc, leading the Bulls with 22 points in their 70-69 upset win over Villanova. Augustus Gilchrist added 16 and Jawanza Poland 11, and Anthony Crater tallied seven assists in addition to scoring the game-winning basket.
Next up for the Bulls is a matchup with Cincinnati as they became the first 15-seed in the history of the Big East Championship to win a game in the event. Whether or not Noriega can produce a similar performance is tough to answer but USF is playing with house money now, so anything is possible.
