Junior guard Kemba Walker posted a line of 26 points, seven rebounds and five assists in Connecticut's 97-71 win over DePaul in the first round of the Big East Championship. Four other Huskies reached double figures with Jeremy Lamb scoring 17 of his 19 in the first half leading that quartet. Alex Oriakhi scored 13 and grabbed 19 rebounds, which tied Travis Knight's school record for the most in UConn's Big East Championship history. Jamal Coombs-McDaniel and Shabazz Napier added 11 apiece with Napier also racking up eight assists and four steals.

Next up for UConn is a depleted Georgetown squad without its point guard in Chris Wright. The Huskies had problems dealing with the DePaul press at times but Georgetown won't bring that kind of defense to the table. Look for the Hoyas to force UConn to make perimeter shots on Wednesday.
