Senior guard Jeremy Hazell led Seton Hall with 31 points in their 84-70 win over #15 St. John's on Thursday night. Hazell shot 9-for-14 from both the field and the foul line, and three other Pirates reached double figures. Fuquan Edwin (19 points), Jordan Theodore (14) and Jeff Robinson (10) were the other players to post double figures.
The bigger story was the fact that the Pirates, the worst three-point shooting in the Big East, made 12 of 18 shots from beyond the arc to beat the Red Storm. This is a streaky team that's been cold for much of the season, but if they get hot Seton Hall can beat almost anyone.
