Rutgers senior forward Jonathan Mitchell led all scorers with 24 points but it wasn't enough to deliver a victory on Wednesday night at St. John's. Robert Lumpkins added 13 off the bench while Dane Miller (seven rebounds, six assists) and Mike Poole scored nine apiece.
Mitchell averages 13.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, reaching double figures in each of the last six games. The Mount Vernon (NY) native has scored 20 or more in three of the last five.
