Marshall redshirt freshman DeAndre Kane scored 24 points and had nine rebounds in a one-point win over Houston. It was his second straight 20-point game.
Kane sat out last year as a partial qualified but he has become the Thundering Herd's best player in his first year. He is averaging 15.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. He has scored 20 or more points five times, and been held to single digits three times (last on Jan. 5).
