St. Mary's freshman guard Matthew Dellavedova had 14 points, four rebounds and two assists in the win over Villanova. He made all four of his free throws in the last minute of the game to ice the victory.
Dellavedova showed great versatility today as he took over the primary ball-handing duties as a way to help with the Villanova pressure. He made some huge shots and if he can keep scoring in double-figures the Gaels have a shot to keep playing deeper into March. He is averaging 12.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists.
