Rice freshman forward Arsalan Kazemi returned to the Owls after missing a game with academic and injury woes. He had 12 points and 11 rebounds, even though Rice was beaten by North Texas.
Kazemi was somewhat limited by an ankle injury prior to his one-game sitting. He played a season-high 29 minutes against the Mean Green and added two assists and two blocks.
